    The West Australian miners in Kalgoorlie-Boulder each spent $100 on the $160 million Powerball draw in a ‘spur of the moment’ decision to go in together as a syndicate for the first time.

    The miners saw a rainbow appear over the mine site at 5.30pm on the evening of the draw – with one quipping ‘that’s our pot of gold’.
