Woman, 70, wins TWO huge lottery jackpots in a week

A Delaware woman has won two six-figure lottery tickets within just days of each other.

The 70-year-old from Newark was stunned to discover she had won $100,000 on an Ultimate Cash Instant Game ticket which she bought at a Speedy Gas.

A week later, she went to claim her huge jackpot from the Lottery Headquarters where she told staff it was her biggest win since she began playing the Delaware Lottery seven years ago.

But on her way home, she felt her luck had not run out and she popped into a Tiger Mart in Dover to buy another ticket.

She bought three Serious Money tickets and was flabbergasted when one had the $300,000 top prize.

The woman, who wishes to stay anonymous, described it as ‘absolute insanity’.

She said: ‘My best friend was the first person I told about winning the $100,000 top prize, and she came with me to claim it.

When I scratched the $300,000 winning Serious Money ticket later in the day, we just sat there in disbelief.
It was absolute insanity.’

They were forced to turn back on themselves to return to Lottery HQ to claim her huge winnings, 파워볼게임 a total of $400,000.

The woman said she plans to put most of the prize money into her retirement fund.

When asked if there was anything else she wanted to share about her win, the woman said, ‘Just that I love scratching Instant Game tickets!’

Delaware lottery officials say there is a one in 120,000 chance of winning $100,000 in the Instant Game competition.

The odds of claiming the $300,000 jackpot in the Serious Money game are around one in 150,000.

Delaware is also one of the best places in the US to win the lottery where winnings are not subject to state income tax rate.

Last year, a North Carolina man accidentally won a $25,000 prize twice on the same day.

He bought a Lucky for Life ticket and forgot he bought it, and purchased a second ticket with the same numbers.
